How My Garden Grows

Happy Friday, friends!

Thought I'd share what's growing in my bedroom these days...

baby basil plants (Aren't they cute?!) :) ...

pepper plants...

tomato plants including possibly the most amazing tomato EVER!!- KBX...

and cilantro, which is just breaking through the soil

I usually start most of my plants from seed. I have a little set up that includes a grow light, heating mat, and grow system that allows seedlings to absorb water from the bottom- everything needed to get them off to a healthy start.

I know, I know, it's almost May and my seedlings are still very little, but not to worry, they grow super fast and should be ready to plant outside by the end of May/early June, even though I started them a tad later than normal.

Soon, it will be time to start pie pumpkins and delicata squash. I'm also growing sugar snap peas, lettuce, kale, beets, green beans, parsley, sweet potatoes, and garlic. Then there's red raspberries and a few blueberries that I will probably get from my young and still growing bushes (if the birds don't get to them first!). I have to replant strawberries this year too (if the rain will only stop for a few days so the ground can dry!) because the plants from the past 5 years needed some renovation. I also love to mix flowers in with my veggies as much as possible because diversity is good for preventing pest problems, AND it makes the garden more beautiful!

What do you grow in your garden?
