What's on my Heart- Helping Those in Need
Happy Friday, friends! Time to link up with Casey for what's on my heart.
I'm sure you've all seen photos of the tornado destruction that ripped across the United States several weeks ago.
It's hard for me to imagine what it would be like to have my home and community destroyed like this.
If you would like to help out financially with the rebuilding efforts of the communities that have been devasted by these tornados, I have just the place! There is a huge fundraising event going on over at this blog. Artists and crafters from all over the globe have generously donated over $4,800 worth of items that YOU can bid on. For just $1 an entry, you can enter to win a basket of items (and you can enter as many times as you want), one of which includes this...

Hop on over for more information and to see all the baskets that are available! Together we can make a difference.

ReplyDeleteMan. My husband was in Tuscaloosa shortly after it happend. He said it was unreal. I'm so glad you a promoting this to help! We are still sending teams and supplies from our chuch, but it's still easy to forget that people are still hurting!
ReplyDeleteHEY Lady! Thanks for posting on our blog and being our newest follower. I really appreciate your post today. We actually live about 15 miles from where the most recent tornado hit. We've been helping with some of the clean up and donating what we can. My sister has actually started making blankets for small children who survived the storm. I'm going to try to post her story soon. Driving through the devastation seems so unreal. I'm sure you've probably heard this.. but pictures don't even come close. You have a beautiful heart and your words are very encouraging.

Mel
Hi! I found you through ALONG FOR THE RIDE. I live in Joplin and just wanted let you know and everyone who participated in the fund raiser how much Joplin appreciates all the the support we have received from all over the world-literally. All of the churches and believers truely feel that this is our opportunity to show the world what the love of Christ looks like! Helping out in whatever capacity we are able to and just loving our neighbors. I am very proud of our church who has become one of the centralized distribution sites. We have been given donations of personal items and food and served hundreds of families. We also spend time praying with them and following up and many have returned to attend our church! We have also been host to other mission groups. All in all I just want to again say Thank You for all the blessings your fundraiser provided!
