Desperation

Hiya friends! I've got a serious post topic for you today- something that I'm afraid we tend to avoid all too often. I don't think I realize how blessed I am to live in America with all the freedom that I have. It's hard to even comprehend how some people live- particularly women.

I think of the ridiculous little things that I can get upset or stressed about, and they don't even compare to the things women in Asia face every single day.

- Being abducted as a young girl and forced into a life of prostitution
- Mother's searching through the garbage to find food for their children
- Wives being doused with kerosene and burned to death by their husbands due to an insufficient dowry
- Widows being blamed for the death of their husbands, therefore being shunned by family and the community

The suicide rate for young women in India is 10 times higher than the national average. They need hope, and we can do something to help.

It costs $30 a month to sponsor a woman missionary through Gospel for Asia. If you aren't able to commit to sponsoring, you can also donate any amount to the widows and abandoned children fund.

You won't know the impact your giving has on these women's lives until you see them in heaven one day.
