Last week, I had Leonora from Yellow Heart Art design a logo for me, and I couldn't be happier with it! I asked her if she could use my actual signature for the "NS" (the same way I sign all of my pots!), and being the superwoman that she is, of course she said she could do it! :) I wanted the logo to be simple and timeless and reflect the style of my shop. I think a logo should be recognizable and something that will still look up-to-date and relevant 10, 20, or 50 years from now.
I've been wanting to design new business cards for a while now, and I received my logo just in time! (Leonora is superwoman, I tell you.) I wanted to make one card to go with jewelry purchases and one to go with pottery. I used a couple images that Jennifer shot for me, and I am so pleased with how they turned out! I can't wait for them to arrive in the mail. They're double-sided, so the image in the center is on the back.
I've been working on changing all of my branding (including my blog) to use my logo, but goodness, that takes time! This summer has been crazy busy and is flying by. Between filling orders (hello, wholesale account in Wales, UK!), keeping up with the garden, and spending time with family and friends, it often seems like there aren't enough hours in the day! I know they say the older you get, the quicker time seems to go by, and I believe it!
How has your summer been? Tell me what you've been up to!

Today, I'm sharing my recipe for Strawberry Coconut Milk Ice Cream! Coconut milk makes a wonderful replacement for dairy products in ice cream because it has a rich, creamy texture. It's also high in lauric acid, which has been shown to have antibacterial and antiviral properties (meaning that it's good for your immune system!). Combine it with strawberries, and you have a sweet summer treat that you can feel good about.
- 3/4 lb. of strawberries (approx. 3 cups)
- 1-13.5 oz can coconut milk (be sure to use regular, not reduced fat)
- 6 TB. maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into an ice cream maker, and process according to manufacturer's directions.
Allow finished ice cream to harden in freezer for several hours before serving. Share & enjoy!
Note: Leftover coconut milk ice cream will become significantly harder than dairy-based ice cream if stored in the freezer. Simply allow it to set out for 20-30 minutes before serving to restore it to a creamy consistency.

Hi friends! My social media fast is over and really, it wasn't as hard as I thought. I actually felt like my life was a lot more peaceful for a while, and it was good to be able to refocus on my blog & business, and most importantly, my relationship with Christ. Thanks for hanging in there with me. :)
I've decided that while I want to continue sharing my business, recipes, and faith here on this blog, it may not happen quite as often because I only want to share something when I truly feel inspired and when I don't, then I don't want to stress about it. I don't want to add to all the noise on the internet unnecessarily, so when I post, I'll make sure it's worthwhile for you and me. For those of you who have a blog, you know how much time and effort it takes to keep it up, and I don't want it to keep me from real life.
I've been working on some new products while I was away, and I can't wait for them to be finished so I can show them to you! I'm loading up the kiln today for a bisque firing, so it won't be long!
Isn't he cute? He loves strawberries! :)
ALSO, I had to pick a new winner for the birthday giveaway, so if you are Marilyn, you won! I'll shoot you an email.
Have a blessed week, friends!
